Misty Mountain Path by Kakuden has been one of my favorites. This vintage Japanese hanging scroll painting has an aura of mystic tranquility....one can just imagine the sights and sounds and smells of walking through the misty mountain forest, coming upon the foot-bridge over the brook.
This is an older, solid-feeling, high-quality scroll painting, painted on silk. Is likely from early Post-1940, possibly 1900-1940. Size is approx. 22" x 79", and the roller-ends are bone.
